Before going to Six Flags New England, you need to plan your day.   Decide how long you will be visiting the park and what time you will be arriving.  I suggest you get to the park about a half hour before opening.  Six Flags opens the gates early to allow for a preshow and you can use this time to familiarize yourself with the park.  You may also consider purchasing a Q-bot at the Flash Pass center.  Flash Pass is open before they drop the rope so you can save time by getting it early.  If you will be arriving after the scheduled opening time avoid arriving during the middle of the day.  Crowds will be at their peak and lines will be long.  You may want to wait until after 4pm to take advantage of shorter lines and reduced admission.  Here are some other helpful hints:

    • Make sure that everyone in your party has a park map and takes a good look at it before you start your day.  Establish meeting places and your game plan.
    • Decide whether or not you will be venturing into Hurricane Harbor.  Proper swimwear is required so please plan ahead.
    • Visit the popular attractions such as roller coasters early in the day.  Lines will continue to grow throughout the day.
    • Check the show schedule at the entrance booth or information center and see if there are any special events or shows you want to see.
    • Secure loose articles!  Don’t bring unnecessary items inside the park.  If you have loose articles place them in the provided storage bins on various attractions.  Remember it’s against park rules to bring loose articles on attractions and you can be ejected from park grounds.
    • Remember outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the park.
    • On busy days you may want to purchase a Q-bot at the Flash Pass center.  Remember proper ID is required to rent a Q-bot!
    • If you have small children you may want to rent a stroller early.  During the middle of the day there may be none available.
    • Always follow park rules!  Remember Six Flags New England is a smoke free park with smoking only allowed in designated smoking areas.
